That Rachel/Ross kiss really was one of the best ever. I also loved when Rachel was describing the kiss to her girlfriends, saying, "He had his hands in my hair!" (or something along those lines), and Phoebe and Monica swooned. The best onscreen kiss I have ever seen was in the movie The Whole Wide World, with Rene Zellweger and Vincent D'Onofrio. Honestly, it made me gasp. I can also relate to your fear of ending up with a man with an ugly name. I once broke up with a great guy simply because his name was Felix. That proved to be a mistake. Sigh.

Did you know my middle name is Ross? Of course you did. I had my first kiss with a girl (yes, a girl... get over it!) whose name I don't remember. It was on top of an observation tower at an amusement park. I was 13 years old. That same girl kissed me years later on top of a mountain that we'd both climbed in Colorado. My first BOY kiss... funny, but I don't remember it. I do remember that my first ex was really really good at kissing. And, um, little else.

Hmmm, another great kiss actually comes an episode or two later, after Rachel finds Ross' list. At some point, they all watch the home video where Ross gets all dressed up on a moment's notice to "save" Rachel's prom. When she sees that video she goes over to him by the door and lays the finest, most tender kiss on him, and wraps her arms around his neck. Her hands at that moment tell it all, the way they touch and lightly stroke his neck and shoulder.
